A Study On The National Identity Of Hong Kong Youth From The Perspective Of "one Country, Two Systems

It has been more than 20 years since Hong Kong returned to the motherland.Over the past two decades,the implementation of "one country,two systems" in Hong Kong has generally remained stable,but there have been some setbacks along the way.In recent years,incidents such as the "Occupy Central" and the " Hong Kong Law Revision Storm " have seriously undermined the healthy development of the cause of "one country,two systems".Behind these events,there are deep,long-term problems.These problems are mainly related to the lack of national consciousness among Hong Kong youth,the unclear understanding of the relationship between "one country" and "two systems",the long-term lack of education on national history and national consciousness,as well as the infiltration and intervention of foreign forces.In order to ensure the steady and sustainable development of the cause of "one country,two systems",we must strengthen the education of Hong Kong youth in history,national culture,constitution and basic law,strengthen the active guidance of the young generation,and constantly cultivate their feelings of home and country,so as to enhance their national identity.More importantly,it is important to fully implement the central government’s overall authority over Hong Kong,establish and improve relevant systems and mechanisms,uphold the political principle of "Patriot rule of Hong Kong",and resolutely exclude foreign forces.Only in this way can young people in Hong Kong better understand their country,gain a deeper understanding of the development of the cause of "one country,two systems",and ensure that the principle of "one country,two systems" will not change or waver,and that "one country,two systems" will not be distorted or distorted in practice.
