Research On Fund-raising Strategies Of The Third Sector

Recently,non-profit organizations in Thailand have grown significantly fast due to the growth of Thai economy.They have many roles in Thai society such as in charity,in environment,in aiding poor people and in development of Thai economy and society.However,these non-profit organizations face same problems which are inadequate funding and fund-raising capability.Consequently,the organizations cannot sustainably develop and grow.As can be seen,non-profitorganizations in Thailand need good fund-raising strategies to be successful and to have adequate fund.I,the researcher,have chosen The Center for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation(CPCR)in Thailand to be my case study,to analyse the current in-plan strategies for fund-raising and existing problems and to suggest a better appropriate strategy for the organization.This thesis consists of 5 chapters:Chapter 1 Introduction.This chapter introduces CPCR's background,importance of fund-raising strategy,demonstrates the value of this topic selection,and the research ideas and research methods of this paper.Based on reviewing Thai and foreign research results of fundraising in the third sector,the analysis framework of this paper is proposed.Chapter 2 Core Concepts and Research support theory.This paper will sort out the core concepts(third sector,strategy,fundraising strategy),and lay a foundation of the third sector fundraising strategy in Thailand starting from social exchange theory,structure and function theory,participation theory and organization theory.Chapter 3 Analysis of Fundraising Strategies of The Center for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation(CPCR).Based on the case of the The Center for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation and given information to analyze the status of the fundraising strategy and the difficult situation it faces.The analysis finds that the dilemma of the fundraising strategy of the Foundation mainly includes the fund-raising mode of the foundation lags other modes,the lack of a correct understanding of the foundation and the lack of credibility.Chapter 4 Analysis of the influencing factors of fundraising strategies of The Center for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation.Based on the empirical investigation,five factors that may affect the fundraising strategy of the third sector protection foundation of Thailand are analyzed in terms of fundraising channels,transparency of organizational operation,advertising and public relations,religious beliefs and economic conditions.Chapter 5 The fundraising strategy proposal of The Center for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation.It combines the connotation of the fundraising strategy,the existing difficulties of the The Center for the Protection of Children's Rights Foundation and the factors that affect the fundraising strategy and puts forward some suggestions.It mainly includes four aspects: widening the fund-raising and puts forward some suggestions.It mainly includes four aspects: widening the fund-raising channels,transparently operating the foundation,strengthening the image of the foundation,and improving the internal construction of the organization.
