A Study Of Mohist's Thought Of Governing The Country From The Perspective Of Modern China's National Governance Modernization

Promoting modernization of state governance is a new and important task,and there is no precedent to follow.We need to draw on the successful experience and ideas of governance at all times and in all countries while adhering to the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and to explore the ways and methods of modernization of national governance in emancipating the mind and innovating.Mohism is the pride in the history of the culture in China and even in the world.Its main content is to explain how to govern the country.Although mohist thought of governing the country was to solve the social problems of Spring and Autumn Period and reflected the innovative thinking of that period,but many of its ideas and viewpoints have the value of transcending the times and can be the local resources to promote the modernization of contemporary Chinese national governance.Based on mohist thought and guided by Marxist theory and methods,this paper studies and combs mohist thought of governing the country and its reference value to promoting modernization of state governance in contemporary China.Its content is divided into four parts:First of all,this paper makes a general introduction to the reasons for the choice of the topic,research purposes,research significance,research thinking,research methods,and research difficulties.Secondly,according to mohist thought and the results of the study of mohist thought of governing the country,this paper summarizes the background,historical origin and main contents of mohist thought.The main contents of mohist thought of governing the country include the goal of governing the country with the "benefit of the world" as its core,the strategy of governing the country covering all fields of society based on the "Ten Theory",and the construction of governance capacity based on "choosing affairs to govern,cultivating oneself,and giving a job suited to one's abilities." Thirdly,on the basis of explaining the position,viewpoint and method of Marxism,which is the basis for the assessment of the Mohist thought of governing the country,this paper carries out a comprehensive,in-depth and dialectical analysis of Mohist thought of governing the country.It points out that the Mohist thought of governing the country has the characteristics of popularity,unity of benefit and morality and operability,the historical limitation of fantasy and contradiction,and historical value of Mohist thought of governing the country.Finally,on the basis of analyzing the inevitability of putting forwardmodernization of contemporary Chinese governance and its rich connotation,this paper explains the nourishing effect of mohist thought of governing the country on the value goal of modernization of state governance in contemporary China,the reference meaning of promoting modernization of state governance system in contemporary China and the enlightening effect of promoting modernization of state governance capacity in contemporary China.
