Since the birth of government WeChat in 2012,with its unique advantages and characteristics,government WeChat plays an increasingly important role in promoting openness in government affairs,guiding public opinions,providing convenient services,strengthening interactions between government and the public,innovating social governance and so on.Government WeChat has become a new platform for the government administration and a new channel on which government can have interactive communication with the public.After a few years of development,the construction work of government WeChat in Liaoning province has made some achievements.For example,the overall development is rapid,covering a wide range of areas.Some government WeChat accounts operate in cluster and matrix,and some organizations are operating government Microblog and government WeChat at the same time.In addition,a number of influential government WeChat public accounts have sprung up.While in comparison with some other provinces in which government WeChat development take places in the front ranks of the whole country,government WeChat development in Liaoning province is relatively backward overall,the level of development is not high,the impact is weak,and there are also lots of problems now.Strengthening the research on government WeChat development in Liaoning province has important theoretical reference value and practical significance in promoting the transformation of government functions at all levels in Liaoning province and enhancing the level of social governance capacity modernization.Based on collation and analysis of the existing literature in combination with government WeChat development practice in Liaoning province,the research has summed up that government WeChat development in Liaoning province is facing a range of problems,such as that the development level does not match the potential needs of the public;sector development,regional development and level development are not balanced;the goal and function positioning are not accurate;content construction is lack;interaction and feedback abilities are limited;resource coordination and operation supporting mechanism are not perfect and hidden dangers exist in information security.The research has analyzed the causes of the problems deeply as well.Based on the analysis and summary of the experiences and practices of government WeChat development in some other parts of our country and combined with the actual situation in Liaoning province,the research has put forward some countermeasures and suggestions from the concept,mechanism construction,team construction,content construction and interaction and safety aspects to promote government WeChat development in Liaoning province.
