Study On The Construction Of Goverment Wechat In Hubei Province

The rapid development of mobile internet and smartphones brings about great changes to the ways of information dissemination.Emerging media such as microblog,WeChat and client,blossom and set off a new wave in the field of network politics.Making government and citizen communications on public fingertips,Government WeChat provides a speedy and effective channel for local government to understand society and public opinion,address public and to offer government services.Previous research has demonstrated Government WeChat macro-orientation,comparative analysis with Government Weibo,government-civilian interaction,Government WeChat countermeasures,practice and effect.However,less is known about positive analysis of local Government WeChat based on public demand.Furthermore,Hubei Province,as the representative Province in Central China,its Government WeChat development still seems considerably less advanced relative to Zhejiang and Jiangsu Province.Therefore,this research has explored the situation and countermeasures of Government WeChat development in Hubei from public demand's perspective.Using related theory of public administration and communication,this thesis carried out public demand interview and public usage survey of Government WeChat in Hubei from the perspective of public demand.Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs and the interview,it can be concluded that the public in Hubei use Government WeChat for five needs,which are needs to know,service needs,needs of participation,needs for surveillance and emotional needs.These needs can be demonstrated through popularity,accuracy,integrity,timeliness,vividness of Government WeChat,convenience,comprehensiveness,practicability,efficiency,safety of Government WeChat,accessibility,supportability,responsiveness of Government WeChat,and affinity with the people as well as interest evaluation of Government WeChat.Build on this,questionnaire was designed,and user usage survey and the analysis of existing problems were conducted.In perspective of public demand,this research has put forward some countermeasures for the improvement of Government WeChat in Hubei,so as to provide practical and theoretical guidance for the construction of service-oriented government.The countermeasures are as follows.First,increase publicity of Government WeChat and ensure public's effective access to government information.Second,base on service carrier of Government WeChat and ensure public's access to government services.Third,attach importance to government consultation and response,and ensure effective participation of the public.Fourth,focus on political achievements assessment and public evaluation,and ensure effective supervision of the public.Fifth,insist on user thinking and enhance affinity with the people and public experience.
