Study Of Sino-Malaysian Relationship Under The Belt And Road Initiative

Since China launched"the Belt and Road"Initiative in 2013,Malaysia has become one of the first countries to respond to and support this initiative.In the past five years,Sino-Malaysian relations have been developing rapidly under B&R,and cooperation in various fields such as politics,economy,humanities and security has been launched in an all-round way.The comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia has been further deepened,and bilateral relations have reached the highest level in history.But at the same time,by observing the development of Sino-Malaysian relations in the past five years,we can find that some old problems and new situations are affecting the development of Sino-Malaysian relations.This paper uses analytic hierarchy process to analyze the main factors affecting Sino-Malaysian relations from four aspects:changes in the international system,changes in regional order,domestic political issues and leader's factor,and then tries to provide constructive suggestions for the future development of Sino-Malaysian relations.The first part of this article introduces the development of the relationship between China and Malaysia,and gives a general understanding of the development process and degree of the relationship between China and Malaysia.The second part introduces the development status of Sino-Malaysian relations in the five years since the implementation of B&R,and then describes the relationship between China and Malaysia in terms of political communication,economic and trade exchanges,humanities exchanges and military security.The third part analyzes the main factors affecting the development of Sino-Malaysian relations from the international system level,regional level,domestic level and personal level.The degree of confrontation between China and the United States will have an important impact on the future development of China-Malaysia relations;It puts forward three policy suggestions for the future development of Sino-Malaysian relations,mainly from three aspects:strengthening strategic mutual trust between the two sides,implementing the principle of planning together,building together and benefiting together,and vigorously carrying out public diplomacy activities,with a view to providing some inspiration for the future development of Sino-Malaysian relations.Finally,this paper believes that China-Malaysia relations have exposed some problems under the B&R,but the fundamentals of cooperation and development between China and Malaysia will not change.The development of friendly relations between the two countries is not only the requirements of the two governments but also common aspirations of the two peoples.As long as China and Malaysia work together to cope with the crisis and challenges,China and Malaysia will enjoy the development opportunities brought about by the B&R and jointly realize the national development goals of the two countries.
