Psychological Pressure And Adjustment Of Township Civil Servants In Ningjiang District Of Songyuan

Currently Chinese reform has entered a phase of toughness and hardness.Social politics,economy and culture are developing rapidly.Social revolution is speeding up.The functions of government in all directions are particularly important.Civil servants,as the executor of party and the country’s various lines,principles and policies,are confronted with unprecedented challenges and pressure.Township-village,the smallest administrative unit,the public service of its government plays a direct role on the rural and peasant masses.Compared with the civil servants at the state,provincial,municipal and county levels,the job content of the township civil servants is more detailed,trivial and complicated,the responsibility for them is greater.and the test of their psychological endurance capacity is more rigorous.Being the bridge and link between the government and public,the psychological problems of township civil servants are not only related to their health and work efficiency,but also possibly affect the image of the government and the quality of social services.Therefore,seeking the method of psychological adjustment for township civil servants is of great importance.This article tries to investigate the psychological pressure of township civil servants in some district by the forms of questionnaires and conversations.When analyzing the reasons for the psychological pressure generated among the civil servants in this district,it is found that the pressure is principally originated from public opinions,fierce promotion competition,shrink of wages and benefits and stressful interpersonal relations,which lead to depression,irritability,sense of loss and other negative emotions.It further clarifies the influence of psychological problems caused by psychological pressure on the state,society,the others and themselves.Finally based on the above analysis,the feasible suggestions for adjustment method is put forward.The relevant government departments should place emphasis on psychological pressure problems of civil servants,especially at grass-roots in township.Mentally it is deserved to carry out psychological health education by means of psychological counseling,which could be provided by relevant government.Practically various assessment systems should be improved,the incentive mechanism of promotion,reward and punishment should be established,more opportunities for exchanging and studying to enhance self-capacities should be provided and a healthy and positive organizational life environment should be created.In this way,the grass-roots works in the village and towns can have a benign psychological state and offer a better service for socialist construction.
