Si.nce the adaptation of reform and opening up policies 40 years ago,China has made remarkable achievements in economy but also faced the transition problems.For the new normal of China's economy and a shift from high-growth development to high-quality development in China's economy,strengthening the supply-side structural reform is an inevitable choice to improve the quality and efficiency of economic development.In the new era,the construction of characteristic towns is not only the important platform to promote new-type urbanization,but also an important starting point to promote the supply-side reform.As a major economic and cultural province,Shandong province actively cultivates special towns to implement national policies.Daigu Town is a well-known town of Qilu,famous for its unique culture and peach industry.Under the guidance of the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets",Daigu town exploits the development of cultural tourism to assist the rural revitalization and the construction of beautiful villages has made great achievements.In August 2017,Daigu town was successfully selected as a national characteristic town for its third-line military industrial culture.At present,Daigu characteristic town has been taking shape and its feature is livable and elegant.However,due to the lack of enough time and successful experience,there existed many problems during the Daigu's development of characteristic town.Such as the vague authority-responsibility relationship between the government and the enterprises;infrastructure is relatively backward,and the quality and level of public services are relatively low;lack of talents and unsound management system;low brand awareness;poor quality of tourism goods and so on.Based on the field investigation around Daigu town and the local marketing strategy theory,this paper puts forward some advice for above problems including completing legal system and clarifying the relationship between the government and the enterprises;strengthen infrastructure and improve public services;attaching importance to personnel training and improving the scientific management system;expanding promotional channels and enhancing brand awareness.
