In 1997,Tony Blair,the leader of the Labour Party,defeated the Conservative Party in the British general election,won the election and re-entered the political arena after 18 years of absence.The Community Policy focuses on resolving the urban crisis in the UK,aiming at bringing about the regeneration of British cities.New Labour Government's Market Town Community Policy shows new characteristics and directions different from the previous community policy.Some people think that the smaller the city is,the stronger the sense of community and the higher the degree of citizen participation.The population of small towns is large enough and dense enough to mobilize well.Therefore,the New Labour Party attaches great importance to the role of market towns,regards them as the key place of community regeneration strategy,and puts forward the plan of "Market Towns Initiative".The Market Towns Community Policy not only covers the regeneration of the region,but also emphasizes that the market town promotes the development of the surrounding areas.The rural community in Britain has always been the focus of government policy.The New Labour Party Government proposed the policy of rebuilding rural community.On this basis,it launched the "Rural Strategy" to build a new rural community with sustainable economic development,ecological livability,community protection and
