Research On Privacy Leakage,Infringement And Protection Of Social Media Users

In recent years,with the arrival of the era of big data,the number of data in the Internet is increasing,and presents a complex and diverse form,people’s way of thinking,business management also have undergone tremendous changes.The rapid rise of the Internet has also led to the rapid development of social media.Social media has become indispensable in people’s daily life.However,social media not only promotes the interaction of user groups,but also makes the issue of personal privacy disclosure more prominent.Whether it is QQ,WeChat,MOMO and other chat platforms,or short video sharing platforms such as Tik Tok,Quick Hand,Volcano video,all involve our personal privacy more or less.User’s privacy information is related to the whole media ecology,and may also involve the dignity of everyone,even property and personal safety.Therefore,it is urgent to study the privacy disclosure and infringement of social media users.Based on the study of scholars at home and abroad and the relevant knowledge of communication,this paper makes a thorough analysis of users’ privacy disclosure in social media by using the methods of literature research,comparative analysis and questionnaire survey.The research finds that the current social media users do not pay enough attention to privacy,and the protection of privacy is insufficient.However,users’ self-disclosure,self-reinforcement and lack of privacy awareness are important reasons for privacy disclosure.Once privacy is disclosed,a series of malignant incidents may occur.Therefore,in view of the problems of privacy disclosure and privacy violation,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to protect the privacy of social media users.From a macro perspective,the government should improve the privacy protection policy.On the micro level,we should not only let the media platform formulate practical privacy protection countermeasures,clarify the privacy boundary issues,but also let social media users enhance their awareness of privacy protection,improve media literacy,and strengthen the protection of personal privacy.Of course,the protection of user privacy can not be separated from the support of technology,and the media technology team should attach great importance to this aspect.
