With the emergence of traditional energy depletion, climate change, and transnational issues of energy issues, the global energy system is undergoing some tremendous changes.Nowadays, the global energy governance models are increasingly diversified, and the global energy governance institutions as well as the functional cooperation platforms are both increasing largely in quantity.Despite this, due to the fragmentation of the energy governance system, the various energy interests of different countries, the unfairness among the energy exporting countries and importing countries, the low level of energy sustainable development, and the lack of coordination and cooperation between the energy and management platforms between the north and the south, the old world Energy governance mechanisms are still difficult to effectively address the energy governance challenges facing by the international community today. In the 21st century, energy diplomacy has become an important part of China's foreign policy.Since the reform and opening up,China has increasingly participated in the global economy, trade, labor, science and technology exchanges, which has created opportunity for China to actively participate in global energy governance. At the same time, thanks to the "One Belt,One Road" initiative to bring the flow of technology, capital and population to the world,China's concept has gradually been recognized by the international community, and the legitimacy of China's participation in global governance has been strengthened. This is China's participation in the new era.The establishment of a new global energy governance order offers new opportunities. However,in order to seize the opportunity,China still needs to face the major challenges of energy security and environmental pollution caused by large-scale energy development directly.Under the guidance of the "A Community of Shared Future for Mankind",China needs a combination of theory and practice, from both domestic and international, designing top-level policy, strengthening the "One Belt,One Road"energy cooperation, promoting domestic energy transformation, strengthening professional personnel training, and increasing technology innovation.Contributing China's wisdom to the development of global energy governance.
