| Xinhua Daily,as the only large-scale publication organ newspaper established by the Communist Party of China in the Kuomintang-controlled areas,is an extremely important window platform for the Communist Party of China to communicate with the broad masses of the people and lead the progressive cultural forces.Its publication marks that the Communist Party of China has achieved an important position in leading the national public opinion.Before the second cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,the Kuomintang imposed a comprehensive press blockade on the Communist Party,stigmatized and demonized the Communist Party and its leaders for a long time.During the War of Resistance Against Japan,it also emphasized "one faith,one leader,one government" and restricted progressive thinking in many ways.As the product of the second cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,Xinhua Daily assumes the important historical mission of reshaping the image of the Party and the leader of the Communist Party and transmitting the voice of the Party.This paper takes the image of the leader as the theme,and takes the relevant reports of Mao Zedong in Xinhua Daily as the research object,trying to explore the historical process and role of the image of the leader of Mao Zedong created and disseminated by Xinhua Daily.The research contents are mainly divided into four parts: The first part briefly introduces the historical background of the image-building of the leaders of the Communist Party of China,reviews and combs the propaganda of the leaders of the Communist Party of China before the War of Resistance Against Japan in an all-round way and the history of the long-term blockade and stigmatization propaganda of the Party by the Kuomintang,and then leads to the creation of Xinhua Daily Management and development.The second part uses quantitative analysis method,through word frequency statistics combined with relevant historical data,more objective descriptive analysis of the image of Mao Zedong leader constructed by Xinhua Daily,so as to obtain a macroscopic understanding.The third part,on the basis of quantitative analysis,summarizes the content of the image building of leaders in Xinhua Daily,and divides the image of leaders into three parts: theoretical image,political image and social image.The fourth part explores and summarizes the strategy and historical role of Xinhua daily in the dissemination of leaders’ image.The relevant reports of Mao Zedong in Xinhua Daily mainly involve four aspects: political activities,ideological theory,social life and personal biography.They have successfully shaped Mao Zedong’s theoretical image,political image and social image.Xinhua Daily portrayed Mao Zedong’s advanced,practical and popular theoretical image by reporting Mao Zedong’s theory and political articles,talks,quotations and inscriptions,and reported Mao Zedong’s leading of the construction of democratic regimes in the border areas,the leadership of the anti-Japanese National United front,the leadership of the rectification movement within the Party,and attendance of negotiations in Chongqing.The content of the activities,shaping its charismatic leader,leadership ability of the political image;reporting Mao Zedong’s participation in social activities and social evaluation,and other content,shaping their love for the people,deeply popular social image.At the same time,Xinhua Daily has effectively promoted the spread of Mao Zedong’s leadership image,disrupted the stigmatization of the image of our party and leaders by the Japanese puppet and Kuomintang diehards,and strengthened Mao Zedong’s leadership by using such communication strategies as strengthening the role identification of the road guide,constructing the resonance field of discourse expression,and launching the United front of the press.Authority,promote the Kuomintang-controlled areas of the people’s political identity and leadership identity of the Communist Party of China,effectively promote the spread of Mao Zedong Thought and the popularization of Marxism. |
