Research On The Participation Of Fuzhou Social Science Associations In Public Decision-making

With the development of society and economy,more and more Chinese social groups seek to participate in public decision-making through various channels and in various ways,but the fact is not ideal.Social groups do not play their due role in public decision-making.It is necessary to make a comprehensive study of the existing problems,the causes of the problems and the countermeasures to solve them,so as to lay a solid theoretical foundation for the participation of social groups in public decision-making.This thesis takes Fuzhou social science associations as the research object to study the structural system and operational mechanisms of social groups participating in public decision-making deeply,and put forward suggestions for improvement.This thesis sorts out the theories of pluralism,cooperativeism and resource dependence,refers to the advanced experience of the Center on Education Policy(CEP),an independent public policy research institution in the United States,in participating in American public education decision-making and the All-China Women's Federation(ACWF)in preventing the institutionalization of the policy initiative for women's phased employment.This thesis expounds the basic situation of Fuzhou social science associations,its opportunities and dilemmas faced by the development,the structural system,the operating mechanism and the present situation of participating in public decision-making,and sums up the limited participation ability and participation imbalance in participating in public decision-making.This thesis analyses the causes of the problems from the external environment and the groups' strengthFinally,the thesis combining the case study of Fuzhou Traditional Culture Association participating in the public decision-making on the protection and inheritance of Fuzhou traditional culture,puts forward operable suggestions on improving the participation of social groups in public decision-making from the aspects of supervision and self-construction of associations.The suggestions on supervision are focused on improving the supervision,management and service for social science associations,organizing and guiding academic activities for social science associations,and promoting the transformation of social science associations to social think tanks.The suggestions on the self-construction of associations focus on enhancing the ability to raise funds,optimizing the personnel structure,and adjusting the work content to comprehensively enhance the ability to participate in public decision-making.
