Research Of Western Interference Towards Rohingya Issues

After National League for Democracy(NLD)officially took office in 2016,the relations between the West and Myanmar rapidly warmed up.The Western countries increased their investment in Myanmar,their leaders visited frequently.However,the outbreak of the Rohingya refugee crisis in 2012 brought great challenges to Myanmar,and the Western countries pay high attention to the Rohingya issues.Since the terrorist attacks in the western part of Rakhine State in 2017,the West has repeatedly accused the Myanmar government and the military of persecuting the Rohingya people on the grounds of human rights,and pursue sanctions to exert pressure on Myanmar.The relationship between the West and Myanmar has fallen again.At present,the Rohingya refugee crisis has not been properly resolved.The Rohingya issues remains the focus of the contradictions between the West and Myanmar for expected future period."Responsibility to protect" is a hot topic in the international community.Western politicians and scholars believe that it will become an effective weapon to end tyranny.Western countries are trying to use it to intervene in the Rohingya refugee problem.This paper attempts to study the interference of the West on the Rohingya issues in Myanmar from the "responsibility to protect" to protect.First of all,this paper analyzes the concept of "responsibility to protect" and its existing disputes.Reviewing several cases in which the past "responsibility to protect" failed,and discussing the theoretical flaws in the "responsibility to protect".Then introducing and analyzing the historical background of the Rohingya issues and understand its complexity and particularity.So it's impossible for the West to quickly solve this problem.Finally,I will introduce the West's interference in the democratization of Myanmar in the past,and now it is involved in the Rohingya issues.Using the"responsibility of protection" to analyze Western interventions and purposes,and discussing the negative impacts it has on Myanmar.This article argues that the "responsibility to protect" does not apply to the Rohingya issues.Western countries intervened in the Rohingya issues in Myanmar with "responsibility to protect",which leds to the alienation of relations between Western countries and Myanmar and objectively caused changes in Myanmar's foreign policy and Myanmar's proximity to China.Applying "responsibility to protect"to the Rohingya issue will threatens Myanmar's national sovereignty and aggravate the instability of the political situation in Myanmar.It will also deteriorate Myanmar's diplomatic environment and underminie Myanmar's international image.The interference will not solve the Rohingya issues,but will further complicate it.
