Exploring The Social Support Of Long-term Care For Urban Disabled Elderly Patients By Case Social Work

With the increase of the aging population,the trend of aging in China is becoming more and more serious.Among them,the increase of elderly people makes the trend of increasing the number of chronic diseases more prominent,the necessary care time for the elderly is prolonged,and the professional level of care is also getting higher and higher.As a vulnerable group in the elderly population,disabled seniors are more difficult to obtain care support,and long-term care becomes a major burden for families.In the existing social support,formal social support and informal social support are not perfect.Therefore,how to provide high-quality long-term care for disabled elderly people through the comprehensive social support of disabled elderly people,so that they can live a life of dignity and high quality,which is a problem that society must pay attention to.The author touched 30 disabled elderly people through the "heart-set sunset,warm-hearted community"——After collecting the analysis data through household interviews,the paper analyzes the status of social support for long-term care of disabled elderly people from three aspects:material support,medical care support and emotional support.It is found that there are some problems in formal support and informal support.In formal social support,there are problems such as insufficient government economic support,single purchase service content,weak timeliness,and imperfect construction of community old-age service facilities and functions.In informal support,there are problems such as paying attention to daily care,neglecting spiritual care,being disabled and actively seeking help,and using social support.The author will contact Y in the household survey as a casework service object.After the previous investigation,data collection and analysis,the author found that the service object Y has lack of life care,weak family relationship,lack of communication objects and spiritual world.Empty and other issues.The author starts with daily care,medical care,family and friend support,and spiritual comfort needs.Based on social support theory and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,the author develops service plans for clients and conducts casework interventions.The client aims to restore and expand the social support system,thereby improving the living conditions of the client and improving the quality of life for the elderly.The author also tries to change the irrational emotions of the client,so that he can correctly face the state of life of disability.Support and help clients with linked resources to expand their social support systems,including improving family relationships,gaining family support,expanding social support for friends,and linking community resources to community support.At the same time,the advantages of service objects are explored,so that they can improve self-awareness,increase self-confidence,consolidate changes,and improve the utilization of social support of clients,so that clients can face future life with a more positive attitude.Finally,from the perspective of social workers,some suggestions for improving the social support for long-term care of disabled elderly people:the government plays a leading role,perfects the relevant security system;actively links social resources,continuously expands community service functions and builds society with family as the core Support network system.
