Research On The Satisfaction Degree Of Old-age Needs Of The Elderly In Urban Areas

With the transformation of Chinese society and the rapid development of the economy,the degree of population aging is also increasing,but at the same time,the 4-2-1 family model is gradually formed.The traditional family pension function is weakening,and the demand and support of the elderly are increasing.The weakened contradiction is highlighted,and the issue of old-age care has become a realistic problem that needs to be solved urgently.How to meet the needs of the elderly in all aspects of the elderly is the key to solving the problem of old-age care for the elderly.With the gradual exploration of urban socialized pension,paying attention to the satisfaction of the elderly needs of urban elderly is not only the requirement to improve the life satisfaction of urban elderly,but also can verify the implementation effect of current social pension policies.Therefore,this paper takes the urban elderly at home as the research object,studies the economic,care,spiritual needs and influencing factors of the urban elderly,and hopes to promote the satisfaction of the elderly living needs of the urban elderly and improve the quality of life of the elderly effect.In this paper,we use the 2014 China Old Age Health Influencing Factors Tracking Survey(CLHLS)data to first describe the current status of urban households’ old-age needs satisfaction,including their current economic needs,care needs,and spiritual needs.Status,etc..Through descriptive statistics,it is found that the proportion of old-age needs is the highest in demand for care,the second in spiritual demand,and the lowest in economic demand.Followed by the basic characteristics of the elderly(gender,age,marital status,regional distribution and level of education,etc.),the economic situation of the elderly(family annual income),health status(whether suffering from chronic diseases)and social support(Whether there are old-age security,community service,mode of residence,number of children,object of confiding,etc.)Four aspects of regression analysis to determine the factors affecting the degree of economic,care,and spiritual needs.Through regression analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: First,the personal characteristics of the elderly have different effects on the satisfaction of different pension needs.Second,the better the economic situation of the elderly,the better the economic and spiritual living standards of the elderly.Third,the health damage of the elderly has significantly affected the satisfaction of the elderly’s needs for the elderly.Fourth,the provision of old-age security has significantly improved the economic level of the elderly and reduced the risk that the care needs will not be met.Fifth,living with children is a tribute to the spiritual life of the elderly.After that,based on the existing research,the research of this paper is further extended to study the influence of the satisfaction degree of the old-age needs on the life satisfaction of the elderly.The study finds that the unsatisfied demand for the elderly will reduce the life satisfaction of the elderly.Through this research,it not only provides a new perspective for the intervention of life satisfaction of the elderly,but also proves the validity of the definition of the indicator of satisfaction level of the old-age needs.Finally,based on the research findings,this paper proposes suggestions for improving the satisfaction of the elderly’s needs for the elderly and improving the quality of life of the elderly from the social security perspectives of the government,the community,and the family.
