Study On Life Satisfaction And Its Influencing Factors Of The Elderly At Home In China

Since 2000,China has officially entered an aging society.With the deepening of the aging of the population,the problem of the elderly population in China is becoming more and more prominent,especially the life satisfaction of the elderly population living at home.According to the 2010 Data Analysis of China’s Urban and Rural Elderly Population Tracking Survey,61.3% of the urban elderly have a high degree of life satisfaction,while 46.4% of the rural elderly have a high degree of life satisfaction.In China,the life satisfaction of the elderly population living at home is not only improved on the whole,but also significantly different between urban and rural areas.In addition,the 14 th Five-Year Plan passed by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee also clearly proposes to improve the quality of life of the elderly population living at home in our country from all aspects.How to deeply study and improve the life satisfaction of the elderly population at home has become a major practical problem facing China at the present stage.Based on the data from the 2018 China Elderly Health Influential Factors Tracking Survey(CLHLS),this paper firstly describes and analyzes the basic characteristics of the elderly population living at home in China,and on this basis,prelimatively explores the relationship between life satisfaction and influencing factors of the elderly population living at home in China.Secondly from individual traits,habits and characteristics,family characteristics and social and economic characteristics from four aspects,the binary logistic regression was used to China’s elderly population that occupy the home demonstration analysis on the influence factors of life satisfaction,it is concluded that the individual characteristics,living habits,family characteristics and characteristics of social economy level variables are part of our country had a great effect on life satisfaction of elderly people at home.Because our country is a dual social and economic structure,urban and rural differences impact on the life satisfaction of elderly people that occupy the home is bigger,so this paper further studies the individual characteristics,habits and characteristics,family characteristics and characteristics of social and economic impact on China’s urban and rural household’s life satisfaction of elderly people,it is concluded that gender,smoking habits,and education experience mainly influence the rural elderly population that occupy the home,Among them,female rural elderly population has higher life satisfaction,smoking habit has a positive impact on life satisfaction of rural elderly population,and well-educated rural elderly population has higher life satisfaction.The habit of physical examination and whether to give economic support to children mainly affect the urban elderly population living at home.Among them,the urban elderly population with physical examination habit has higher life satisfaction,and giving economic support to children has a positive impact on the life satisfaction of the urban elderly population.Other significant variables are the common factors affecting the life satisfaction of the urban and rural elderly population.According to the above research conclusions,this paper focuses on ensuring and improving the economic income level of the home-based elderly population,continuously improving China’s geriatric medical infrastructure and related supporting services,encouraging diversified social participation of the elderly,meeting the service needs of the elderly in their later life,and narrowing the gap between urban and rural infrastructure for the elderly.From the perspective of focusing on the improvement of the security capacity in rural areas,it puts forward feasible measures to improve the quality of life of the elderly population at home in our country,and then promote the implementation of the strategy of active aging in our country.
