With the intensification of the problem of aging in China,how to play the residual heat of the elderly to promote social development,enrich the life of the elderly in later life,and increase the happiness of life in later life is an important issue to be considered.By engaging the elderly in volunteering,contributing to society and the community can alleviate the pressure on the society caused by the aging process.At the same time,it can also enrich the free time of retired seniors and increase social recognition and satisfaction.In practice,the researchers found that the quality of the elderly volunteer team was uneven,showing that there are many shortcomings in the service capacity of elderly volunteers.Based on the above motivations,the social work professional method is used to improve the service ability of the elderly volunteers,to achieve self-growth while serving others,and to enhance the long-term effectiveness of their participation in volunteer service,so as to achieve“aging”and promote community and social development.the goal of.Based on the theory of empowerment and the perspective of advantages,this paper takes group work methods as the carrier and carries out research on the goal of improving the capacity of elderly volunteers.In the application of the advantage perspective theory,use the advantage perspective to explore the potential advantages of the elderly volunteer team members,so as to set appropriate group work goals;in the group activities,the community advantages and resources and the elderly volunteers' own initiative initiative In order to achieve the potential to explore the potential of older volunteers and improve their service capabilities.In the application of the empowerment theory,aiming at the inadequacies of the service capacity of the elderly volunteers,using the four major components in the implementation process of the empowerment theory,designing and carrying out group activities,strengthening the volunteer spirit of the elderly volunteer team members,and strengthening the elderly The self-capacity of the volunteer team members enhances the communication ability of the elderly volunteer team members and strengthens the teamwork awareness of the elderly volunteer team members.On the basis of practical work,the process and effect of social work intervention are evaluated from multiple perspectives.The evaluation results show that the intervention of group work based on the theory of empowerment and the theory of superiority enhances the service ability of elderly volunteers in many aspects.Finally,reflect on the problems found in the development of social work: limited by the form of group work,there are deficiencies in the professional ability of social workers and the use of fewer people,and the individual needs of individual members are compared.There are also deficiencies in other professional methods of social work.Therefore,in order to better improve the service capacity of elderly volunteers,other social work professional methods and professional theories need to be introduced in the future social work intervention.
