A Study On The Construction Of Social Support Network For Orphans Under Family-Like Rearing Model

For a long time,orphans in China have been mainly cared for and nurtured by government-funded child welfare institutions,and their models are mostly in the form of centralized care,but with the rapid development of social economy and the progress of welfare concepts in our country,The rearing patterns of orphans in China have gradually become diversified.More and more attention has been paid to the family rearing model,which simulates the family environment for orphans and creates a family atmosphere because of its obvious advantages in emotional cultivation,negative emotional guidance and ideological and cognitive construction.It has become an important development direction of orphan rearing model.Family-like rearing is a kind of rearing mode between centralized rearing in welfare institutions and family foster care.It can not only provide a family growth environment for orphans like the family foster care model,but also raise multiple orphans and improve the utilization rate of resources,just like the institutional centralized care model.This paper takes C city S institution as the research field,comprehensively uses the participation observation method and the semi-structured interview to deeply understand the present situation of the social support network of orphans under the family-like rearing model.The problems existing in the existing social support network are analyzed and discussed,and the strategies and methods of constructing and perfecting the orphan social support network under the family-like rearing model are explored.Try to improve the situation that the social support network of orphans is not perfect under this rearing mode.Guided by the theory of social support,this study uses the method of social work casework to help orphans under the family-like rearing model improve their own social support network.The specific intervention point is to supplement the orphans.Emotional support and educational support,help orphans link social resources,solve growth problems,and then help clients build a strong social support network in the process of intervention,case work aims to help orphans build a sound social support network.Promote the healthy growth of orphans.Through the data collected from interviews and observations,as well as practical research,it is found that social workers use professional methods to link resources and formulate effective work strategies,which is helpful to the construction of social support networks for orphans under the family-like rearing model.Social work can also make up for the imperfect social support network of orphans under the family-like rearing model,and provide children with a better growing environment and services.There are still many shortcomings in the intervention research of this paper.Social work needs continuous practical research in the construction of orphan social support network under the family-like rearing model to better construct children's social support network.
