How Does Mouth-Oriented Media Platform Implement Emotional Governance?

The transformation of Chinese society is accompanied by frequent tensions in social relations.Through the new media platforms,the emotional public opinion disagrees with the mainstream discourse from time to time,which brings huge influence on the traditional propaganda system,but also forces prqopagandists to upgrade the"emotion work"to meet the need of new era.Through the critical interpretation of the emotional discourses constructed by the new media platforms of People's Daily,this paper explores how emotions work in specific situations,what emotional discourses are made of and why ermotion work are still important today.The paper indicates that"play","reason"and"sympathy"are the three mainly used emotions when dealing with the new trends of leadership and socially structured public issues in everyday life.And the purpose of this action is to cultivate "trust",suppress"disappointment"and"anxiety",which are not conducive to social stability.In the face of internal and external crises,"reason"is frequently called,to relieve the"panic,and"anger"of the.public.Originating from the"people's?righteous indignation","nationalism"and"patriotism" are used to mobilize the public and fight against the outside world.On the other hand,the moral discourses with the core of "people's righteous indignation","paternalism","the doctrine of the mean"and the citizen discourses with the core of "rights consciousness","multi-culture","balanced moderation"consist of the emotional discourses,which are frequently invoked during the times of ideological tension,to resolve social contradictions,achieve temporary stability and governance.However,it also feces the possibility of being deconstructed at any time.The changing emotions of the public opinion brings uncertainty to emotional governance,at the same time,it constantly challenges,updates,modifies,and recreates the cultural hegemony.The new media platforms of People's Daily have a balance of various emotional discourses,which fully reflects the dynamics of public emotions,and also represents the negotiation process of cultural hegemony.
