Research On The Party Consolidation Of Xiangtan County In 1983-1987

After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee,China has entered a new era of reform and opening up in an all-round way.The focus of the Party's and the State's work has shifted.The tasks of the Communist Party of China have undergone fundamental changes and began to face new situations and challenges.On the one hand,the Party and the State had carried out socialist modernization construction that centered on economic developments;also,the majority of Party members and cadres had suffered from the erosion of decadent capitalistic ideas.On the other hand,the influence of the Cultural Revolution and the "Left" wrong ideas on the Party and the State had not been completely eliminated,and there were still many problems in the Party's ideology,style and organization that needed to be solved urgently.In order to solve the problems within the Party and provide a strong leadership core for the reform and opening up for the country,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China carried out the Party consolidation in 1983-1987 nationwide.The main task of the Party consolidation was to unify the ideology,rectify the style of work,strengthen discipline and purify the organization.The Party consolidation method was thorough and in stages and batches.In October 1983,the Second Plenary Session of the Twelfth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China adopted the Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the integration of the Party.The Central Committee decided to start Party Integration in November 1983.In response to the call of the State for Party consolidation,vigorously improving the construction of grass-roots Party organizations in Xiangtan County and comprehensively promoting the economic development of the whole county,the Xiangtan County Committee of the Communist Party of China,under the guidance of the Party Central Committee's Party consolidation work,carried out the Party consolidation work in May 1985 in an all-round way,and adopted a series of measures to consolidate the Party;for example,conducting the education of Party consolidation documents for rural grass-roots Party members,thoroughly cleaning up the "three The Party's style of work in Jinquan County has improved fundamentally.The work of Party consolidation should be combined with strengthening the management of township enterprises,strengthening grass-roots management and security,and mediating the construction of organizations.Through a series of measures,the CPC Xiangtan County Committee had not only limited the effectiveness of Party consolidation to the internal party organizations,but also expanded to the political,economic and cultural aspects of Xiangtan County,and achieved good results.This paper takes the Party consolidation in Xiangtan County from 1983 to 1987 as the object of this research.After a comprehensive analysis of the background of the Party consolidation in Xiangtan County,the whole process of the Party consolidation in Xiangtan County from 1983 to 1987 was comprehensively grasped from the aspects of mobilization,opening and completion of the Party consolidation in Xiangtan County.Based on this,the paper evaluates the Party consolidation in Xiangtan County from 1983 to 1987 and summarizes historical experience.Strengthening the Party's self-construction is the focus of all the Party's work.From the microcosmic point of view,the Party consolidation in Xiangtan County from 1983 to 1987 was carried out under the overall deployment of the Party consolidation work carried out by the Party Central Committee.The Party consolidation work in Xiangtan County had a certain role in promoting the Party organization construction and the county's economic development;from the macroscopic point of view,its experience in Party consolidation had an innovative tool for promoting the construction of grass-roots Party organizations at present.It had certain reference significance,and had also played a positive role in the construction of the image of the Communist Party of China and the initiation of reform and opening up at that time.
