Research On Copyright Issues And Countermeasures Of Indie Music Publishing And Communication

In recent years,with the development of internet information technology,the publishing and dissemination of independent music has been gradually present three alternating forms,first the spring breeze of indie music has blown into the field of book publishing,and music books have begun to involve indie music.Second,although the glorious period of traditional audio-visual products(this article refers to physical records)has past and done,for indie musicians physical records still has its special value in existence,whether it is used for collection or for copyright protection.Third the rapid development of domestic streaming media has accelerated the competition of digital music.Then explore the characteristics of this group of indie musicians,there is no packaging and promotion behind the power of commercial capital,they need to do all the things by themselves from the creation of the works to the publication,and then to the distribution process,so the copyright protection is also slightly weak.Luckily,the domestic copyright environment has been significantly improved by our country and our government.The National Outline of the Cultural Development Reform Plan during the 13th Five-Year Plan also proposed to strengthen copyright protection,fully implement the national intellectual property strategy,and promote cultural innovation through copyright protection.The research in this article is based on indie music,through the analysis of three forms of indie music publications,from the perspective of copyright,focusing on the new developments brought by books,traditional CDs,digital music and independent musician groups,after relevant case analysis and interviews with professionals,it is found that in practice there are infringements of music books,a large number of pirated records,and pirated works that have not been licensed by copyright owners.Due to the particularity of indie musician groups,they are also facing the difficulty of right protection but not limited to this.Throughout the entire indie music market,there are many problems around every link involved in this industry chain—indie musicians,publishers,issuers and users.So this article attempts to make some reasonable suggestions for the copyright protection of Chinese indie music through careful analysis of each link.
