With the aging of the aging, the problem of old-age care has gradually become the vision of the people, and it has also attracted the attention of the state. With the gradual reduction of the size of the family, the traditional pension model has been difficult to solve the current pension problem. In recent years, the social problem of pension has not only entered people's vision, but also attracted the attention of the state. To this end, many scholars have also conducted continuous research on this topic, with a view to alleviating the rapid development of China's aging and ensuring the quality of life of the elderly in later life. The arrival of aging is accompanied by the health problems of the elderly. The main reason is that with the increase of age,the incidence of some chronic diseases and even serious diseases is gradually increasing. Therefore, how to maintain healthy old age becomes a concern of everyone..According to the data of the statistical yearbook,it is found that although women's life expectancy is higher than that of men, their physical health is far worse than that of men.The main manifestations are chronic diseases, and the number of elderly women who are semi-self-care and unable to take care of themselves is much higher than that of older men. Therefore, the correct guidance and encouragement of the elderly, especially the elderly women, active social participation is an important measure to cope with the increasingly aging and to maintain their health. To this end, based on the relevant literature, this paper studies the impact of social participation on the health of older women and men from a gender perspective, and provides an important basis for the elderly to support their health.Based on Charls' 2013 and 2015 data, this paper examines the impact of older people's social activities on their health.According to the data, the indicators of physical health and mental health of the elderly were selected:activity of daily living(ADL),ability of daily activities of activities(IADL),and depression(D).Social activities participate in this indicator, and statistics are based on ten questions such as "separating doors and interacting with friends".Use first-order difference to remove the impact of health on social participation, and use the mlogit model to study the impact of social participation on the health of the elderly.According to the results of the study, social participation has a significant effect on the ADL and IADL of older women, and has a significant effect on the improvement of depression in older women.Social participation has a significant effect on the IADL of older men,and there is no ADL and depression in older men.Significantly affected. It can be seen that social participation has a greater impact on the health status of older women. The results of this paper support the theory of activity, that is,older people with social participation are more likely to feel happy life and reduce the incidence of depression, especially for older women;and long-term social participation can maintain good health.According to this conclusion, the state, the community, the family and the individual should actively respond and cooperate with each other in order to give the elderly a happy and healthy life in their later years. At the end of this paper,we also put forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures from these four perspectives,in order to provide a certain basis for the elderly to actively and healthily support the elderly.
