At present, the aging of our country is becoming more and more serious. The older population over the age 60 has reached 212 million,in China’s population, the elderly accounted for 15.5%. It is estimated that in the next 35 years, this proportion will gradually rise on about 22%,China will become a country with a large number of the elderly,25% of the world’s older people will live in China. China faces the huge problem of "getting old before getting rich"and "getting old before getting prepared", the demographic dividend rapid decline.China’s aging population highlights the following features:fast, especially the proportion for the disabled and the aged, the number of the empty nesters, people who lived alone and so on.The current aging and the aging problem in China will how to influence the health problems of old people? And the health care, the pension issues will be how to end?As we all know, for people age over 65, with the growing of the age, health status generally presents a downward trend, especially the risk of the chronic disease increased, the behavior ability is limited, the nursing demand will continue to increase, and the cost is high, the cycle is longer, which brings huge economic pressure to the society and the family, and to the adult,is a huge huge opportunity cost.So is the care from the family, the pension institutions, the community and other medical care, can they meet the needs of the elderly?Factors, for instance, whether the economic sources of the elderly are independent, the living pattern, the physical and mental health, will they affect the health of the elderly? At present, the care supply of the pension institutions in our country can not meet the increasing demand of the elderly, and for the health status that below the general level of the elderly, nursing homes did not give the necessary medical and nursing service, the elderly still need to go to hospital for treatment, the accompany of the children is still needed,so children occupied their work hours to take care of the elderly, this part of the time constitute its participation in the opportunity cost of work.In order to balance care time and work time, which can also protect the health of the elderly, it requires us to explore the important factors which influence healthy aging from the perspective of social economics. In this paper, using the latest data of China’s elderly population health survey (CLHLS) in 2011,the pension model is defined as a two dimensional mode which contains residential patterns and economic sources,to study whether the pension mode will have a significant impact on the health of the aged, how will the different pension modes affect the health of the aged and the degree of the impact, and in the process that the different pension patterns affect the health of the elderly, are there any differences in gender and urban-rural.In the empirical analysis part of this article, the living mode and economic source are described in virtual variable respectively, take living alone and economic independence as a reference group and build the econometric model, then analyze the impact of different housing patterns, economic sources, gender differences and urban-rural differences on the health of the elderly.Because the index that reflecting the self-reported health are orderly discrete variables, in order to have a comprehensive analysis of the health of the elderly, uses the ordered probit model. This article expects to find significant factors in elderly health through empirical analysis,to provide theoretical support for a effective policy formulation of the positive aging. Empirical research conclusions:(1)Pension mode have a significantly affect on the health of the elderly, compared with living alone, elderly people living with others improve the health level of the elderly significantly, compared with the elderly living alone, living in a nursing home significantly promoted the health of the elderly. (2)Compared with the economic independence, the self-reported health level of the old people’s economy comes from the children or the government subsidies are significantly lower.(3)With the increasing number of elderly people suffering from chronic diseases, the elderly health level gradually decreased, and showing a negative correlation,it is significant at 1% level. As compared with men, the self-rated health level of women is higher.(4)The old people’s health level and age appears inverted "U" shaped relationship. (5)Compared with the western region, the self-rated health level of the elderly in the middle and eastern regions was significantly improved. This may be due to the higher level of economic development and more abundant medical resources in the central and eastern regions, this also illustrate that it have regional differences; From the analysis of the influence of pension mode and economic factors on the health of the aged, there are significant differences in urban-rural areas and gender.
