A Study Of China's Foreign Policy Towards Dprk In The New Era

China and the DPRK are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers.They have a long and glorious historical tradition under the personal creation and cultivation of the leaders of the older generation.Since establishing diplomatic relations with the DPRK in 1949,China has attached great importance to its relations with the DPRK,insisted on grasping its foreign policy toward the DPRK from a strategic and long-term perspective,and has always consolidated and developed its friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK as an unshakable strategic policy.At the same time,China supports the DPRK party and people in exploring a development path that is in line with their national conditions and is committed to the overall situation of China-DPRK friendship and the future of bilateral relations.In the new century,the overall direction of China's foreign policy toward the DPRK is the 16-character policy of "inheriting tradition,facing the future,good-neighborliness and friendship,and strengthening cooperation."
