Research On The Relationship Between Pakistan And The United States Since The New Century

Since the beginning of the new century,Pakistan's relationship with the United States has been dominated by anti-terrorism strategies.The September 11 th incident made the US anti-terrorism security interests prevail,even surpassing other US interests in South Asia.Pakistan's superior geopolitical status is irreplaceable in South Asia and has become a priority partner for cooperation in the US counter-terrorism strategy.Based on the common anti-terrorism interests of the two countries,they have promoted the two countries to become allies.This relationship has been repaired and the two countries have also managed to achieve consensus.To a certain extent,the instability of the Pakistan-US relationship is due to the conflict of security interests,especially in the face of the Afghan issue,and the relationship between the two countries is further complicated.The relationship between Pakistan and the United States has always maintained an unusual alliance.Even if the relationship between the two countries is restricted in many respects and has instability and uncertainty,the link between the two countries still exists.This paper analyzes the development of Pakistan-US relations since the new century and predicts the future development direction of bilateral relations.The first part mainly reviews the relationship between Pakistan and the United States before the new century,and briefly analyzes the factors affecting the relationship between the two countries at that time.In detail,Pakistan has established two alliances with the United States.Pakistan played a bridgehead role in the US strategy against the Soviet Union.However,bilateral relations were affected by various factors and eventually broke down.The second part mainly expounds the development and changes of Pakistan-US relations during the various government periods in Pakistan.It details the relationship between Pakistan and the United States,which has once again become an anti-terrorist ally because of the anti-terrorism strategic interests,Pakistan's strategicposition in the US war on terrorism,and cooperation between the two countries in anti-terrorism,military and economic cooperation.The third part mainly analyzes the influencing factors of the development of Pakistan-US relations,Pakistan and the United States themselves,promotes and hinders the development of bilateral relations,and the influence of foreign factors such as Afghanistan,India and China.The fourth part further predicts the future development trend of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
