South Asia has been a civilized area with various ethnicities and sub-ethnic groups with differences in historical colonial rule, cultures, and religions. These brought severe regional ethnic and territorial conflicts. There are no bilateral relations with intense global scrutiny and conflicts as the India and Pakistan relationships in the last six decades. This study focused on the historical background of the Sino-Pakistan strategic alliance and its impact on the Indo-Pakistan relations in the south Asia region.Secondary sources such as published books, articles, etc.,The collection of primary data through a perception survey regarding Indo-Pakistan relationships on82 random sampled Pakistani were employed in conducting this study. This study revealed that the unfavourable historical conditions of the British colonial partition of the Indian subcontinents in 1947 brought deep-rooted bad feelings and conflicts between India and its newly established neighbor state,Pakistan.Furthermore, border and territory disputes played an essential role in almost every country’s life. However, after Pakistan became the first Islamic and second south Asian nation to recognize China after India in 1951,two states remained strong allies over the years while India and the US also stayed allies. Moreover, these strategic alliances evolved in a manner to serve the interests of each state.Through military aid,China and Pakistan’s allies were as significant for Pakistan in most wars between India and Pakistan, especially Kashmir wars.Despite this, the analysis results of the perception survey considered in chapter 3 of this study showed that the change of government approaches, women’s involvement, and China’s mediation in conflict resolution between India and Pakistan might have a significant impact on regional security and conflict resolutions possibility in south Asia.
