A Research On Social Participation Of Inmates Management Of Prison B In South Jiangsu

At present,great changes are taking place in our society.The differentiation of social contradictions and the complication of social problems have brought multiple challenges to prison management.Prisons should use social forces to participate in the management of prisoners as much as possible,in order to effectively improve the quality of rehabilitation and facilitate the smooth return of prisoners to society.Based on the theory of social participation,this paper reduces the social participation of the modern prisoners management to four elements: subject,object,content and system.On this basis,I took the Sunan B Prison as the research object,and the management status of the prisoners turns out the social participation subjects are mainly the judiciary and the relatives of the prisoners,the social participants are mainly low-dangerous and behaving-well prisoners,the social participation content focuses on education reform and labor training,and the social participation is gradually institutionalized.Through comparison and analysis,it is found that there are four problems in the management of prisoners in Sunan B prison: the varieties of social participation are small,the scope of social participation is small,the content of social participation is not rich enough,and the social participation system is not perfect.Finally,through the practice and enlightenment of the management of prisoners in foreign prisons,the following suggestions are proposed for Sunan B Prison: promoting the diversification of social participation subjects,expanding the scope of social participation,enriching the content of social participation,and improving the social participation system.
