The Critique Upon Post-ideology Of Postmodernism

Postmodernism was an influential Western social trend that was popular in the middle and late 20 th century,which was introduced into China in the 1980 s.It denies the objectivity of all values,opposes any deep narrative,and advocates “anything goes”.It not only has a negative impact on people's world outlook,outlook on life,values and ethics,education on ideals and beliefs,but also has a huge impact on China's ideological security.Postmodernism has a strong ideological character with a "post" character that is different from traditional ideology.This paper aims to use Marxist ideology criticism method to critically examine the post-ideology of postmodernism based on Marxist standpoints,viewpoints and methodology.This paper first analyzes postmodernism from the aspects of connotation,background,main representative characters and their thoughts,so as to lay a theoretical foundation for exploring the post-ideology.It further reveals that postmodernism holds high the banner against traditional ideology with grand narrative,but it generates some post-ideology in the daily life of the public and the national political level;and analyzes the characteristics and concrete manifestation of post-ideology in detail.Then,this paper draws on the main methods of Marxist ideology criticism: practice analysis,dialectical thinking and class analysis;reveals the essence of postmodernism as post-ideology,that is,it is a kind of "hypocritical" and unscientific bourgeois ideology.Finally,this paper makes a deep analysis of the great harm brought to Chinese society by the invasion of post-ideology such as skepticism,decadence,relativism and nihilism.Defending the ideological security of our country should focus on the great struggle against the post-ideology of postmodernism,paying attention to the practice of socialist core values,the education of communist beliefs,and the guidance of scientific truth,history,and outlook on life.The purpose of this paper is to critically examine the post-ideology of postmodernism,and try to have the following two innovations.First of all,the innovation on the argument:the article points out that postmodernism does not end the ideology,but its ideology is different from the traditional ideology,which is a post-ideology with obvious "post" characteristics.Second,the argument is innovative.Based on the perspective of Marxism and linking with reality,this paper summarizes the characteristics,performance and essence of the post-ideology of postmodernism.It also sorts out postmodernism has carried out a comprehensive penetration of post-ideology on public values,ethics,ideals and beliefs,as well as political security in China.Then it effectively illustrates the harm of post-modernism of postmodernism to China's ideological security,pointing out that a great struggle should be launched to defend the leadership of Marxism in the field of ideology in China.The ideological emancipation of postmodernism is extremely small,but it is extremely harmful.We should be alert to the elimination and obliteration of the post-ideology of postmodernism on the dominant position of Marxism ideology in China.The struggle between post-ideology of postmodernism and Marxist ideology is tit-for-tat and irreconcilable.
