The Criticism Of Capitalism In The Evolution Of Alienation From The Perspective Of Marxism:From Labor Alienation To Spectacle Alienation

With the powerful functions of new media visualization,the fashion trends in contemporary capitalist society not only leads to the flood of consumerism through the overwhelming news,advertising and entertainment programs,but more importantly,the value construction behind the commodity image has exerted a subtle influence on people's values and lifestyles from the production field to the consumer field.In the eyes of the father of French Situationist International,Guy Debord,daily life of capitalism has become a ‘spectacle' that is intentionally constructed by electronic media,capitalist society has developed into a spectacle society.This paper starts from the definition of the ‘spectacle' of contemporary capitalist society,analyzes the reasons of spectacle alienation based on Marx's Alienated Labor Theory,and uses the combination of theoretical practice,comparison and development to criticize the evolution of spectacle alienation in contemporary capitalism.Under the core tenet of capitalist criticism,the article conceives the idea of what is spectacle,what is spectacle alienation,and what is the evolution of alienation from labor alienation to spectacle alienation.First of all,this paper makes an overview of the spectacle through the traceability of the word meaning,the definition of the connotation,the analysis of the characteristics and the rule function of the spectacle.Then,the alienation of spectacle phenomena is analyzed based on Marx's theory of alienated labor.Including the analysis of the historical background of labor alienation and spectacle alienation,the analysis of spectacle alienation based on Marx's alienated labor theory,the interpretation of labor alienation and spectacle alienation.Finally,following the clue of labor alienation to spectacle alienation,the paper analyzed that labor alienation to spectacle alienation is the extension from production alienation to life alienation,the advance from physical alienation to imagery alienation,the transition from passive alienation to active alienation.It reveals that capitalism is becoming more and more serious with its own development,and that capitalism eventually enters the grave of self-excavation with the continuous deepening of alienation.From the perspective of innovation in research methods and research content,this paper explores the spectacle of Marx's alienation labor theory,analyzes the internalrelationship between labor alienation and spectacle alienation,and discusses the alienation evolution from labor alienation to spectacle alienation according to three layers of logic:the scope of alienation,the degree of alienation,and the hidden transition of alienation.In addition,the paper demonstrates the anti-humanity and the end of the capitalist society through the dynamic evolution of labor alienation to spectacle alienation,which is an innovation in the research perspective.Based on the perspective of Marxist theory of alienation,the spectacle is analyzed and criticized,which lays a scientific view of history and methodology of spectacle analysis,and highlights the profundity and value of the criticism of capitalist spectacle alienation.More importantly,through the critique of capitalist spectacle alienation,we can expose the reality of ‘spectacle alienation' which capitalism actively constructs and actively conceals.In criticizing the special ideology of spectacle alienation and the value construction of daily life culture,strengthening the road self-confidence,theoretical self-confidence,institutional self-confidence and cultural self-confidence of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
