The principle of national economic sovereignty,as the first basic principle in international economic law,is an important guarantee for national economic development. The issue of national economic sovereignty has always been a hot topic in the legal field. After world war ii,developing countries constantly promoted the development of international economic sovereignty, and established national economic sovereignty as a basic principle through various formal international documents,in order to get rid of the economic control of western powers and achieve economic development. As one of the basic principles of international economic law,the principle of national economic sovereignty provides an important legal guarantee for the economic development of developing countries.Although developing countries have achieved rapid economic development as a result, their economic sovereignty is still relatively fragile and is still affected by various factors. Therefore, safeguarding national economic sovereignty is critical for developing countries. With the rapid development of the world economy and the advent of economic globalization, the economic intercourse and interdependence between countries have deepened. The number of various international economic organizations is growing rapidly, the coordinating role of international economic organizations is being strengthened, and transnational corporations are exerting more and more influence on the world economy. In this context, the traditional theory of national economic sovereignty conflicts with the current international economic order, and the absolute theory of national economic sovereignty upheld by developing countries is challenged. The obstacles faced by developing countries in safeguarding national economic sovereignty include not only the lag of theoretical understanding, but also other external objective factors. At present, domestic or not there are relatively few studies on the economic sovereignty of developing countries, and there is no relatively unified understanding about conception of it.In view of this, the article is mainly to find out the dilemmas faced by developing countries in safeguarding economic sovereignty,to provide reasonable countermeasures for solving these dilemmas. As the largestdeveloping country in the world,China's economic sovereignty is also challenged by various factors. Therefore, the study of developing countries on safeguarding national sovereignty is very meaningful to the security and development of China's economy. The creative achievement of this paper lies in that it firstly gives a new understanding and definition of the "assignment" of national economic sovereignty, negates the view of the weakening of national economic sovereignty, and explains the state's concession behavior in international economic activities.Secondly,it systematically and profoundly summarizes the difficulties faced by developing countries in maintaining their economic sovereignty. Then, based on these difficulties,it proposes feasible countermeasures by combining theory with practice, and finally achieves the goal of maintaining developing countries' economic sovereignty. Finally, the particularity of China's economic sovereignty is analyzed, and the prospect of China's safeguarding national economic sovereignty is put forward in practice and theory.
