In recent years,third-party payment has developed rapidly in China,represented by the payment platform of Alipay and WeChat which has quickly occupied most of third-party payment market with its own capital and technical advantage.Third-party payment,due to its convenience and flexibility,has attracted a large number of consumers,and deeply changed people's mode of payment and lifestyles,bringing great convenience to people's lives.At the same time,due to its virtuality and convenience,third-party payment,while giving people convenience,has frequently caused serious violations of consumer rights and interests.This paper starts with the concepts of third-party payment and third-party payment platform,deeply understands related concepts,and then discusses the status of consumer privacy,security rights,and legal claims in third-party payment platforms in China,finding out the dilemma faced by consumers in third-party payment.The third chapter of this paper draws on and discusses foreign experience in protecting consumer rights and interests in third-party payment,and starts from the legislation and practice of advanced countries and regions such as the United States,the European Union,and Japan,digging deep into their useful experience in order to achieve effective advice for Chinese consumer rights and interests in third-party payment.Based on the predicament faced by Chinese consumers in third-party payment,the last chapter of this paper echoes the second chapter.The author proposes suggestions and opinions from the perspective of improving the rights of consumers' privacy,security and legal claims in third-party payment,hoping to play a role in the protection of consumer rights in third-party payment in China,better protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers in third-party payment,and promote the development of third-party payment-related industries.
