Since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the radical change of the Central and Eastern Europe,the countries in this regions have abandoned the rigid communist system and began to democratic transformation.In the meantime,the European Union's economic and political strength has increased significantly,which has had decisive influence on the international arena.Hence,Central and Eastern European countries were eager to join the EU and share the benefits in terms of unified market,the free flow of capital,trade,personnel,services and trade.For this reason,these countries have launched a "Return to Europe" move and make joining EU as the top priority.EU has also opened accession negotiations with them,which has created one of the largest EU expansion in 2004Compared to the full support in the beginning,however,after ten years'accession,the situation has been completely different.These countries have started to criticize EU in many ways.Czech Republic is a typical example.Since Czech Republic joined the EU in May 2004,it has gained a lot of benefits during the past ten years.Ironically,it' s well known for its skeptical attitude towards EU and becomes the only one in European countries who has hindered the Lisbon Treaty into force.Due to above situation,this article will be structured as follows:Firstly,introduce the rise of Euroscepticsm and its classification.Then,we will focus on the reasons of the Czech Euroscepticism and its performance.Finally,we will take Czech Euroscepticism as an independent variable to see how it will influence the Czech European policy.
