Featured with more than 100 years’ history and complex experience, Germany Social Democratic Party(SPD) is one of the most important political parties in Germany. And it is also the most representative among western social democratic parties.Coming from two different varieties of political parties, the relationship between CPC and SPD is of high importance to each other. In early 1980 s, the two parties broke the isolation of both sides. They tried to seek better understandings and cooperation with each other. They also encountered with setbacks and contradictions after Cold War. But based on the common source of socialism, cooperation has always been the mainstream of the relation between both sides. After more than 30 years’ development, the communication between CPC and SPD has reached a steady and mature level, in which the two sides interact with each other on issues such as global security affairs and governing experiences. It has become the pioneer of the relation among China Germany and Europe. For the future, CPC and SPD share bright perspective of cooperation on non-traditional security issues and global governance. But we also need to be clear of the ideological difference between the two sides.
