Public Relationship Strategy On Police Image Crisis

The police image is the overall opinion and evaluation of the public security organs.A good police image is the basis to maintain the social stability for the public security organ.It has become a major issue that how to enhance the organ's ability on dealing with the police image crisis during they perform the duty of maintaining the social stability.The public security organ must have a good image of honesty,efficiency and responsibility in handling all kinds of crisis,because of their credibility and cohesion is important to promote the whole society's moral standards and to evolve citizens into the public crisis management.By analyzing the current situation of public relations management for Chinese police,this paper found that the lack of ideas,lack of image awareness,poor communication with medias,abuse of power and other factors seriously restrict the construction of police image crisis management;therefore,in order to smooth the public crisis managing,the public security organ should establish the crisis prevention and early-warning mechanism,and set up a professional department to handle the public relations crisis,to make the solve plan,to carry out the training and drills.Meanwhile the organs should improve the news release system,with using the new media to spread the latest events to publics in time,accepting the public supervision effectively.At the same time,this paper raises some methods to eliminate the source of creating the police image crisis by improving the average quality of police,enhancing the ability of police to solve the crisis,and setting up adignified and humanizing police image finally.
