Research On China's National Defense Education From The Perspective Of New Media

Since the release and application of the National Defense Education Law,the work related to national defense education has been carried out in a more specific and standardized way and all-round reforms have occurred in the content,form and approach of education.As the country's comprehensive strength continues to improve,the security threats that China needs to face are largely from the economic and cultural fields.The socialization and networking of national defense education have become the main development trend.With the rapid development of network information technology and social economy,the connotation of national defense has undergone rich and profound changes.In view of the weak and relatively backward awareness of national defense among the public,this paper combines the principles of ideological and political education with the theories of national defense education.The reports on national defense education in People's Daily Online were used as samples of content analysis.According to the results of statistical analysis,the reports within the time span of samples were divided into three stages.Based on specific topics,the main features related to the publicizing,reporting,implementation of national defense education were summarized.The conclusions are made as follows:(1)the media's coverage of the content related to national defense education is mainly driven by policies,so it generally does not delve deep enough.As time goes on,the number of reports on national defense education has gradually decreased;(2)national defense education has achieved certain results and the public has gained more insights into national defense education in recent years,so people are no longer satisfied with general publicity and education.It can be seen from relevant content of reports that the staged “hot spot”reports and the “entertainment” programs of national defense education better meet the internal needs of audience,thus producing higher educational benefits;(3)in recent years,the implementation of national defense education is characterized by the "linkage" of educational opportunities and the "intensification" of educational content,which enrich the connotation of educational activities;(4)to build a long-term mechanism for national defense education,it is necessary to improve theleadership management system and define the responsibilities to strengthen inspection and evaluation.The focus should be on planning and establishing the concept of educational benefits,integrating publicity into the overall plan of educational activities,and strengthening people's ideological understanding of national defense.
