National defense education in colleges and universities is an important part of national defense education. The adoption of national defense education for university students is an important link of implementing all people's defense education, which has strategically significant in ramming our national defense foundation. The national defense education teaching method is a concrete method of making students cultivate and develop certain thought moral character and spirit in the defense education teaching activities. In the process, teachers have influences on students, give them scientific knowledge and skill of national defense, and help them cultivate national defense consciousness and patriotism.At the information age, traditional defense education teaching method has failed to adapt to the personalization study requirements. Under the new historical conditions, if you want to enhance the defense education teaching efficiency and promote national defense education enterprise development at full scales, it is necessary to reform the traditional defense education teaching methods. At the same time, how to enhance the defense education teaching efficiency and improve national defense teaching methods, which has become an important topic of strengthening the university defense education. There is no denying that university defense education teaching method reform has extremely important practical significance. This thesis is divided into three parts in addition to exordia and epilogue:The first part is an attempt to elaborate the theoretic base of national defense education teaching method. The author believes that the university education teaching method is affecting the realization of the defense education teaching aim and efficiency. The particularity of university defense education teaching method is: have the bright militarized characteristic, prominent patriotic education, and emphasize on cultivating comprehensive quality. There are many factors influencing and restricting the reform of university national defense education teaching method. They mainly include politics and economics, science and technology, cultural tradition, teaching design, teaching condition, teacher's quality and so on.The second part is focused on the new teaching method's application in the national defense education. Compared with traditional national defense education teaching methods, the new teaching methods, which are situation simulative teaching method, case analytic teaching method, the investigative study teaching method, can more satisfy students' demands at the information age, which include the demand of lifelong studying, the demand of personalization study, the demand of immediate study and the demand of short cyclical study. Analyzed new teaching methods' theoretical base and their application in national defense education teaching in the chapter, concluded that the new teaching methods has big impetus to the university defense education teaching enterprise development and should be popularized in the university defense education.The third part is conclusion. Under current conditions, introducing and promoting modern teaching methods in universities' defense education, which are situation simulative teaching method, case analytic teaching method, the investigative study teaching method, contribute to raising the students' personalization learning capability; contribute to the promotion and application of modern teaching notions and teaching methods; impel defense education teaching methods full-scale developing eventually.
