Study On Shaping Students' Habitus In Police Colleges And Universities

Under the guidance of practical theory and role theory,this study conducted a systematic analysis and in-depth research on shaping students' habitus in police colleges and universities by using interview,questionnaire and other research methods,and tried to construct a theoretical analysis framework for shaping students' habitus in police colleges and universities.Habitus,one of the most basic concept in Bourdieu's social theory,refers to a long-lasting transferable natural disposition formed by that individuals or collectives in their own historical experience and interactions with the objective environment.Once formed,it will unconsciously direct and mobilize individual or collective behavior,which is of great significance to individuals,collectives and society.Education undertakes the significant responsibility of cultural inheritance and talent cultivation.Its main content is to shape student's habitus,which embodied in the way of students' perception,thinking and behaviors through the various elements in the school field and their roles.On the basis of inheriting the original habitus of school,it will guide students to behave in accordance with the expectations of the school and society.Police colleges and universities are important parts of Chinese general high education institutions.Its education and cultivation of students can be also reflected in the shaping of students' habitus.There are two influential factors in the process of shaping students' habitus in police colleges and universities.One is historical influencing factors,including the students' original habitus and the original habitus of the colleges.The other is realistic influencing factors,including the physical environment,organizational structure,organizational members and operation management in the current field of the school.The two influential factors have fourteen specific modes of action in shaping students' habitus.Through the use of these fourteen specific modes of action,police colleges and universities have shaped students' loyalty,police professionalism,discipline consciousness,collective consciousness,consciousness of rule of law,hero consciousness and innovation consciousness.In accordance with the four steps of clear role expectation,guiding role learning,strengthening role identifying,and standardizing role practicing,students are encouraged to complete the change process of the shape of school from perception and experience to thinking and understanding,to initiative accepting and internalization,eventually becoming a kind of conscious action and pursuing,and achieving the shape of students' habitus.In the cultivation of generations of students,police colleges and universities have formed a complete and effective students' habitus system characterized with public security features.The system has clear objectives,prominent focuses,diversified ways and advance with the times,ensuring the inheritance of the original habitus of the colleges and universities.However,the system is not perfect.In order to further optimize students' habitus,police colleges and universities first should pay attention to inspect the compatibility of original habitus;Second,they are proposed to pay much attention to the integration of habitus;Third,they need to optimize the shaping effect of each element in the field;Fourth,they should make full play to the unique advantages of big data in such an new era;Fifth,they should be good at drawing on the excellent experience of other social organizations.
