Group Work Intervention Study On The Digital Divide Of The Elderly

With the rapid development of the Internet,more and more people feel the convenience of the Internet.While the internet is changing the way of people live,it has also thrown another difficulty,the digital divide.The digital divide can refer to differences in the basic communication facilities of a country,as well as differences in equipment access,equipment use,and knowledge acquisition between individuals due to various factors.After in-depth interviews,it was found that the difference in the digital divide between the old people in the past showed that the popularity of smart devices reduced the access gap,the lack of learning channels and the obstacles to information acquisition,which expanded the use of ditch and knowledge gap.During the intervention process,around the problems of the old people using the ditch and the knowledge ditch,under the guidance of the social support theory and the empowerment theory,six group activities were designed in the form of a development group.At the beginning of the group,the main goal was to establish group support,establish information,and help the elderly face the digital divide.In the medium term,the group passed the series of activities “I want to see you”,“I am a big star” and “We are going to fight together” to teach the use of service objects in the way of imparting knowledge and operation drills,so as to achieve the purpose of empowerment and empowerment.Improve the self-efficacy of the client,with a view to the transition from passive access to active use of the elderly;In the latter part of the group,the professional skills of social work were used to consolidate the results already achieved.Through the group process,it was found that the development team did play a role in the digital divide of the elderly.Through specific practical research,it is found that the current situation of the digital divide in the elderly population is summarized as the problem in the use of the ditch is the lack of Internet-related knowledge,lack of learning channels,people around the Internet,etc.The problems in the knowledge gap are: the information is difficult to distinguish,the information suitable for the elderly is small,and the ability to acquire and utilize knowledge is weak.The above problems have caused the elderly to encounter difficulties frequently when using the Internet and cannot solve them.This makes the elderly feel frustrated when facing the Internet and is unwilling or unable to use the Internet normally.Therefore,the whole society needs to work together to enrich the access to Internet knowledge,provide aging Internet information,enhance the confidence of the elderly in the face of the Internet.
