A Study On The Influencing Factors Of Digital Divide Among The Elderly Living Alone

The digital divide problem has always been a traditional problem in library and information research.Contemporary library and information work is more and more inclined to use computers and the Internet.People who cannot cross the digital divide,cannot use computers or the Internet,and cannot benefit from computers and the Internet Can't enjoy the dividends brought by digital technology.Among the many people affected by the digital divide,the elderly are the most affected,but there is currently no research on the digital divide of the elderly in China.Among the elderly,the elderly living alone are affected by objective environmental factors and are the elderly.The group that is most affected by the digital divide in the group,so this study hopes to explore several influential factors that have an important influence on the digital divide and have profound connotations.The purpose is to narrow the digital divide so that elderly people living alone can enjoy the digital dividend.Under the premise of fully studying the previous articles,the research method used in this article is the field survey method in the anthropological method,which can carefully observe the detailed performance of a group in a certain aspect.The specific research method is the interview method.Through in-depth interviews with the sample to build an understanding of the problem,based on the collected first-hand information,describe the problem and propose solutions.The study found that after examining the internal logic of social relations and the digital divide of elderly people living alone,the more “lonely” elderly people have,the stronger their motivation to use the Internet.In addition,after examining the social networks of elderly people living alone,it was found that the digital skills of the central nodes in the elderly people living alone influenced the digital skills of members of the social network to a large extent;Examining the internal logic of the living environment and the digital divide between elderly people living alone,it is found that elderly people living alone will face some very complex digital technology challenges.In the new environment,they often need to adapt to a new cultural atmosphere and environment The atmosphere,unless it is an elderly person who is very proficient in digital skills,otherwise there will be a huge exclusion between the new environment and the elderly,and changes in the living environment will widen the digital divide of the elderly.Examining the internal logic of physical barriers and the unique digital divide of the elderly,it is found that compared with healthy elderly,the disabled elderly show more willingness to learn,contact,and use the Internet.Examining the internal logic of the educational experience and the digital divide of the elderly living alone,it is found that the difference in working environment caused by the difference in educational experience affects the digital divide of the elderly living alone,and the difference in learning ability brought by the non-education experience significantly affects the digital divide of the elderly living alone.
