Cultural change has always been the main subject of anthropological and ethnological research with a long academic history,many research results and academic achievements.In the development process of modern society,the development of the Tujia Nuo culture in Yan he county also has a significant cultural significance and characteristics in term of "adherence and transition".As a kind of belief culture and social etiquette in local society,Nuo culture is stubbornly adhered to by the local villagers,but when the Tujia Nuo culture is developed and utilized as a cultural resource,it embodies a series of changes and adaptability,and incarnates typical modern characteristics.As an important part of the religious beliefs of the Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County,the traits inhabited in it play an important role in its cultural environment.And no matter how the society changes,as a kind of spiritual support of the Tujia people,Nuo culture has played an important role in various sacrificial activities since ancient times.The Tujia people have integrated the Nuo culture into their own belief world,and they will invite theatrical troupe to perform Nuo opera according to their own needs in production,life and health in order to achieve a harmony life and good health.The Nuo opera has maintained a relatively traditional state under the traditional needs of the local residents.It also remains a traditional state ranging from ritual performance,primal dance steps,dub,gesture with specific aims to singing and so on.In recent years,the Tujia Nuo culture has been known and understood by more and more people,it has gradually step onto a variety of modern stages.On various "stages",the Nuo culture disconnect with its original environment and change emerges.The members of the troupe,the costumes,the content of the performances,and the purpose of the performances have all appeared differently from the past.Oncethe traditional Nuo culture is separated from its habitat,it is no longer“Nuo culture”.The Nuo opera which was performed on the stage and the Nuo culture which was influenced by modernization can not be brought back to its local stages.However,whether it is a villager or a member of the troupe,in this process,their mental state has also changed significantly."Adherence" and "transition" expressed by Nuo culture in local society is worthy of thinking and analyzing,and this behaviors is meaningful to cope with the problems emerging from development of traditional ethnic group's culture.This article is the first-hand data obtained through field work,using the theory and method of cultural anthropology to analyze and summarize.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter and the second chapter introduce some basic concepts and the history and current situation of Nuo culture in Yan he.The third chapter and the fourth chapter respectively narrate the "adherence" and "transition" of Nuo culture in Yan he.In the elaboration,the fifth chapter analyzes the causes of this phenomenon and considers the choice and future of ethnic group's culture.
