Tujia Wei Drum Cultural Connatation Unscramble

Weigu is an ancient percussion music of the Tujia.It is called "playing Paigu" and "beating Dianzi".The complete set of musical instruments consists of small drums,two pairs of cymbals,a gong and a gong,which can be played alone and accompanied by Suona.Weigu is widely used in Tujia area.Red and white happy events,Festival celebrations,birthday celebrations,relocation,ritual memorials and other occasions are indispensable.In many areas,Weigu is also an important means for people to entertain themselves.Weigu is widely circulated in Tujia area.Tianzishan Town in Wulingyuan District is the town of surrounded drum.The special natural environment and humanistic environment here form a unique style of surrounded drum.Therefore,this paper takes Tianzishan Town as a field point,and takes Tujia Weigu as the research object,carries on the investigation and the research.Firstly,the author made many field surveys on Tianzishan Town,interviewed the artists on the spot,learned the skills of the drum,and collected the first-hand information related to the drum.We also have a comprehensive understanding of the local historical context,natural ecology,production and life,religious beliefs,folk culture and so on,trying to establish a three-dimensional and comprehensive field.Secondly,through field data analysis and research,using induction,analysis and reasoning to discuss the emergence and development of Weigu and its survival status in Tianzishan area.Then the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the Tujia drum in Tianzishan Town from the perspective of musical morphology,and introduces the orchestra compilation,music cards,drum eyes,music structure,rhythm,speed,intensity and playing techniques of the Tujia drum in Tianzishan.It is hoped that the author's research can basically restore the music content of Tujia drum in Tianzishan Town and present the artistic culture of Tianzishan drum.Finally,from the anthropological point of view,surround drum is placed in its human environment.The rich cultural connotation of Weigu is deeply interpreted by applying Gertz's theory of hermeneutic anthropology.The unique natural environment and humanistic environment of Tianzi Mountain have bred a special drum culture,which presents the natural ecology and topography of Tianzi Mountain,highlights the farming and hunting culture of Tianzi Mountain,carries the belief culture of Tianzi Mountain people,and constitutes a rich cultural system of Tianzi Mountain with other folk cultures.The free and optimistic attitude towards life,the value of life-orientedand punishing evil and promoting good,the cultural pursuit of happiness and good life of Tianzishan Tujia people have injected profound cultural connotations into the drum of Tianzishan Tujia people.At the same time,using the ten musical functions summarized by Meriam's Anthropology of music,this paper explains the social functions of Tujia drum in Tianzishan Town,such as entertainment,leisure,inheritance,education and economic functions.
