The Research On The Copyright Protection Of Individual Font

In the past ten years,there have been a lot of cases of domestic litigation arising from the infringement of individual fonts in computer fonts,which has aroused extensive discussion among domestic scholars.The reason why such a big response,a very important reason is that our laws for the computer font should be protected and a single font does not make it clear that many domestic courts in the trial practice,often with the case of different sentencing problem.At the same time,the domestic Founder Company,represented by a group of font design companies continue to appeal by way of litigation,I hope our laws can be a single character font computer font to protect.Font design industry running about,but also continue to stimulate the domestic academic debate.It can be said that whether the font should be a single computer font protection has become an urgent problem to be solved.This paper first clarifies the concept of computer single font,font and so on.On this basis,it analyzes and demonstrates whether the single font of the computer can be used as the object of copyright protection.Based on the dilemma in practice,this paper analyzes the legal protection mode of the common law system and the civil law system,summarizes the similarities,differences and advantages and disadvantages of the legal rules of different countries.Finally,it puts forward some legal suggestions on the single font of the computer.Can be beneficial to the improvement of relevant laws and judicial practice...
