The Youth education is the common theme of world education.As the largest and most influential children's organization in the United States,the Boy Scouts of American play an important role in the American teenagers' education.For more than 100 years,the organization has made remarkable achievements in cultivating children's perseverance,acquiring knowledge and skills for independent survival in the wild,developing their leadership and creativity,shoulder the responsibility of social service and training qualified citizens of the United States by their unique outdoor activities.As an important organization for children in China,the Chinese young pioneers also carry out a variety of activities to unite,educate and guide hundreds of millions of children to grow up in the right political direction.In the young pioneers reform plan,it is clearly proposed that they strongly support the development of outdoor research travel activities such as exploration and hardship experience.Therefore,it is of great significance to fully understand the characteristics of educational activities of children's organizations in different countries and regions and to carry out international comparative research.Through literature research,comparative study and case study,this paper makes a systematic analysis and discussion on the outdoor education activities of the Boy Scouts of America,and summarizes its main characteristics,which is to provide some enlightenment and reference for Chinese young pioneers to carry out outdoor education activities.This paper can be divided into following four parts:In the first part,the writer briefly expounds the tradition and development of the Boy Scouts' outdoor education by combing the existing literature,combining with the development course of the Boy Scouts of American and the characteristics of outdoor educational activities in different periods.In the second part,we use the literature and case analysis to further understand the outdoor education activities of the Boy Scouts of America,and summarize the main characteristics of the outdoor education activities of the Boy Scouts of America.It includes the establishment of the goal of the activity,taking into account the educational and progressive nature,the form of the design of the activity,the embodiment of life and diversity,the emphasis on the practice and challenge in the process of implementing the activity,and the encouragement and development of the evaluation system of the activity.The strength of activity guidance is professional and autonomous,the construction of activity base is more normative and natural,and the day-to-day management of activities strives to be regularized and institutionalized.The third part,by the observation and interview,we can understand the difficulties and problems faced among our young pioneers in carrying out outdoor education activities.The fourth part,through the comparative analysis,according to the main characteristics and effective experience of the Boy Scouts of America carrying out outdoor education activities,it can obtain the corresponding enlightenment for the young pioneers of our country to carry out outdoor education activities.In other words,the young pioneers should deepen the concept and goal of outdoor educational activities,refine the contents and schemes of outdoor educational activities,optimize the evaluation system of outdoor educational activities and strengthen the matching of outdoor educational activities resources.
