Research On The Impact Of Wage Income On Overwork Of Migrant Workers In Manufacturing Industry

As an indispensable part of China's manufacturing workers,migrant workers have played an important role in promoting the development of China's manufacturing industry.In recent years,the economic growth has slowed down,the labor market competition has become increasingly fierce,and the wage income of migrant workers in manufacturing industry is generally low.Therefore,excessive labor(long working hours,high labor intensity)has become the basic employment mode for migrant workers to increase their income.According to the relevant research on the labor supply curve,the peasant workers in manufacturing industry are generally below the "inverted S" labor supply curve,that is,the working time decreases with the increase of wages.Increasing wage income may help to alleviate the Overwork of migrant workers in manufacturing industry.Therefore,it has important theoretical and practical significance to study the impact of wage income on the excessive labor of migrant workers in manufacturing industry.This paper explores the impact of wage income on the excessive labor of migrant workers in manufacturing.According to the relevant requirements of the "Regulations of the State Council on Working Hours of Workers",the working hours per week is not more than 40 hours as a measure of the excessive labor of manufacturing migrant workers,and the working conditions,excessive labor conditions and wage income of manufacturing migrant workers The situation is described and analyzed.In the empirical study,the heckman twostage model was used.Based on the results of empirical analysis,the conclusions of this study are summarized.The study found that there is a positive relationship between wage income and excessive labor probability in total factor manufacturing.In capital-intensive manufacturing,there is a negative relationship between wage income and excessive labor probability.In labor-intensive manufacturing,there is a positive relationship between wage income and excessive labor probability.The income effect plays a leading role when the income of migrant workers in the manufacturing industry exceeds twice the industry average wage.The inflection point of the individual labor supply curve of the migrant workers in the manufacturing industry is located in the interval where the monthly wage income is greater than 5,000 yuan.According to the research results,this paper proposes the following countermeasures: increase the human capital investment of the migrant workers in the manufacturing industry,increase the human capital income level of the group;gradually raise the basic salary to ensure that the wage income of the migrant workers in the manufacturing industry is “stable”;Overtime pay share;improve corporate management practices and strictly limit employment time.
