| As human beings step into the knowledge economy and economic globalization,the competition among countries,regions,cities and enterprises is increasingly fierce.The study of Chinese urban competitiveness has become a new subject with great significance.Social welfare is the target product of urban development and the social phenomenon of urban development.The ultimate goal of enhancing urban competitiveness is to maximize the sustainability of the welfare of urban residents.At present,under the planning of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration,improving the urban competitiveness and social welfare level of Hebei province has become the current research focus.On the basis of collecting domestic and foreign research literature,this paper analyzes the impact of urban competitiveness on social welfare by combining theoretical analysis with empirical analysis.This article first elaborated the research background of city competitive power and the social welfare,and the significance of city competitive power to the social welfare research.Secondly,the article analyzes the urban competitiveness and social welfare in theory.Based on the principles of index building,from the economic industry competitive power,infrastructure competitive and science and technology open competitive,the research results of scholars at home and abroad for reference,finally structures the index system of urban competitiveness,and constructs the index system of social welfare from the economic welfare,education and welfare,medical benefits and environmental benefits.Thirdly,this paper uses SPSS and canonical correlation analysis to analyze 13 sample cities in Beijing,Tianjin and Hebei.After analysis and empirical test,the paper draws the conclusion that urban competitiveness and social welfare level are highly positively correlated,that is,urban competitiveness promotes the social welfare level.Different urban competitiveness indicators have different promotion ability to social welfare,Per capita income from telecommunications services and per capita expenditure on science and technology are dominant in urban competitiveness.Per capita expenditure on education and the proportion of people participating in medical insurance play a major role in the social welfare system.Therefore,there is a significant correlation between technology and open competitiveness and infrastructure competitiveness on educational welfare and medical welfare.Finally,combined with the actual situation,we put forward the recommendations to improve social welfare.First,strengthen scientific and technological innovation and adhere to the principle of opening to the outside world.Second: pay attention to the cultivation of talents.We will strengthen the integration of education with science and technology,build Bridges between knowledge and science and technology,respect talents and education,and strengthen management and emphasis on education.Third,we should open wider to the outside world and take the initiative to expand economic exchanges with other countries.Fourth,strengthen the construction of urban public infrastructure and create urban infrastructure pattern with its own urban characteristics. |
