A Comparative Study On Urban Competitiveness In Yunnan

With the deepening globalization of international economy, city has play an importance role in the countries and regions. The competition among cities has become more and more fierce. Urban competition exhibits competition among different countries and industries. Under the background of Western Region Development Program and cooperation with the economic organizations of ASEAN and the Greater Medong Sub-regions, how to improve Yunnan urban competitiveness has become one of core substances of urban development strategies. The study helps appraise current condition, potentiality and trend of the city in Yunnan province to improve advantages of Yunnan.By combining the knowledge of geography economics as well as other related fields of study and employing them into greatest play, the thesis makes a specific analysis on urban competitiveness via the year-to-year city-to-city comparison.
