Research On The Damage Mechanism Of Government Trust And Its Restoration In Public Crisis

Since the introduction of the concept of government trust in political science,it has become the theoretical basis for government management and handling of public relations.Government trust is the core of the social trust system and a key factor in the government's legitimacy and political effectiveness.Most of the existing government trust repair strategies are based on attribution theory,using scenario simulation method to empirically test the repair effects under different strategies.The disadvantage is that it can only stay at the communication level of trust repair,which is easy to cause the failure of trust repair.This paper takes rooted theory research method,takes the frequent public crisis events in China as the background,takes the government trust damage mechanism as the research object,selects the case of group events in recent years for data analysis,conducts empirical research based on grounded theory method,and refines More than 114 initial concepts emerged,and formed six main categories and 17 sub-categories of citizen appeal,rational expression,irrational expression,party response,third-party response and the background of the times.Furthermore,three core categories are obtained,namely,citizen appeal,appeal expression,and appeal response.After theoretical saturation,the theoretical model is constructed.The citizen appeal and appeal response are the core of government trust.In this regard,it proposes a comprehensive collection and analysis of social conditions and public opinion,enhance the government's ability to meet citizens' demands,and the repair strategy and event handling suggestions for classified disposal.In the context of public crisis,the government trust damage mechanism model proposes a corresponding repair strategy from the perspective of damage mechanism,so as to achieve targeted repair of government trust.
