As the largest water conservancy project in China, the south-to-north water diversion project has great significance in water diversion. While producing good economic, social and ecological benefits,it also causes large-scale migration and relocation problems. The vast majority of immigrants are involuntary with a lot of instability, therefore besides paying attention to the project construction,we should also pay attention to the social integration of immigrants in the resettlement areas. The second phase of immigration in Danjiangkou reservoir area was completed in 2012.It has been seven years since then and ushered in the post-immigration era.It is of great significance to study the social adaptation of immigrants in the resettled areas in order to improve their social integration, realize common prosperity and promote the harmonious and stable development of the resettled areas. This paper takes the migration of the middle route of the south-to-north water diversion project as the research object, and field research methods of questionnaire survey and in-depth interview. We visited 35 resettlement sites in Xichuan Henan,Dengzhou Henan,Xiangyang Hubei and Shiyan Hubei.Based on relevant literature research, this paper develops from four dimensions of daily life adaptation, economic production adaptation, cultural adaptation and psychological perception. This paper analyzes and discusses the adaptability of immigrants in various aspects and the existing problems, and then makes a comprehensive judgment on the social integration of immigrants from four dimensions, and makes a correlation analysis with the life satisfaction of immigrants. The research shows that after years of adaptation and psychological changes in the resettled areas, the majority of immigrants are in good social integration status, and there are a few immigrants who need to improve their social integration status.Immigrants have the highest degree of integration in acculturation and psychological perception, followed by daily life, and the lowest degree of integration in economic production. The problems of immigrants in the process of social adaptation are mainly reflected in the aspects of low economic income, poor land quality and high living consumption level. The main problems are reflected in the aspects of low economic income level, high living consumption level, poor land quality and substandard housing construction in the resettlement areas. At the same time, the study analyzed the influencing factors of immigrants' social integration from the perspective of immigrants themselves, social economy, policy system and life satisfaction.Knowing that immigrants' cultural level,hard-working spirit, economic income, policies and systems, and life satisfaction all have significant influences on immigrants' social integration, and the gender, age and social status of immigrants have no significant influence on their social integration. Finally, this paper analyzes the problems faced by immigrants in social adaptation, and finds that the main problems in the process of resettlement integration include economic income, land resources and housing quality. The paper points out the problems and contradictions in a targeted way and explores the ideas and countermeasures to solve these problems.
