Since the reform and opening up,China's rapid economic growth has promoted the development of urbanization.With the in-depth development of urbanization,a large number of migrant workers have entered the urban labor market,which alleviates the shortage of labor market resources and promotes the rapid development of urban economy.However,many problems have been exposed in the process of urbanization.Migrant workers have encountered unfair treatment in terms of employment opportunities and wage treatment,which has become one of the focuses of social attention in recent years.Discrimination by huji is a unique phenomenon of discrimination due to the difference in the status of workers in China.Like other types of discrimination,household registration discrimination is embodied in the restrictions on the employment industry and posts of migrant workers,the phenomenon of different remuneration for the same work between urban and rural labor groups,and the unfair treatment of migrant workers in public services and social security,which seriously affects the efficiency of labor market resource allocation.Compared with other types of discrimination,household registration discrimination is caused by the household registration system,a social system that comes into being under the specific historical background of China.Under this system,the dual structure of urban-rural division leads to unfair treatment in China's labor market due to the differences in household registration status.Therefore,it is of general theoretical and practical significance to study the impact of household registration discrimination on wage differences in China's labor market.In terms of theory,it is of great significance to comprehensively analyze the urban-rural wage differences in the labor market and systematically and scientifically recognize the phenomenon of household registration discrimination in the urban labor market in China.From the Angle of reality,analysis our country labor market in cities and towns in the degree of labor wage differences between urban and rural areas,to identify whether there is a household register discrimination and master the household register discrimination affect wage differential mechanism,to understand the status of the labor market of our country town run,reasonable labor market policies,and promote fair employment and income of urban and rural laborer labor market has a positive effect.Based on a comprehensive analysis of the theory of discrimination in the labor market and a certain summary and exploration of the theory of discrimination,this paper analyzes the issue of household registration discrimination in China's labor market and provides a theoretical framework for reference.At the same time,this paper summarizes the factors affecting the wage difference,including human capital and characteristic factors,and provides ideas and methods for constructing the wage determination model of China's urban labor market.This paper uses the data of CGSS in 2008,2012 and 2015 to compare the change trend of employment and household registration discrimination in China's labor market at a certain time interval,making the research results convincing.On variable set,this article selects hourly wage laborer logarithm is as explained variable,more truly reflect the rate of worker pay,in addition to the variables of human capital,this paper also introduces some characteristics of variables,including the type,region,profession and ownership in the aspect of characteristic variables are divided,the region according to the economic development is divided into three parts of eastern,central and western career is divided into four categories,divide the different profession of income disparity big open both,at the same time not too much introduction of virtual variables;As for the index benchmark problem,the full-sample regression coefficient with household registration status characteristics is selected as the non-discriminatory wage structure in this paper,which overcomes the deviation caused by a single index to the decomposition results and obtains a more accurate discrimination estimation degree,so as to reflect the current situation of household registration discrimination more truly.The theoretical part of this paper is as follows:(1)from the perspective of human capital theory and market discrimination theory,the wage determination theory is analyzed,and the sources of wage differences between labor forces are summarized.(2)summarize and analyze the theory of household registration discrimination,summarize the mechanism of household registration discrimination from three perspectives:household registration discrimination in employment opportunity,household registration discrimination in labor contract and household registration discrimination in social security,and get the enlightenment of household registration discrimination on wages;(3)review domestic and foreign theories of discrimination and literatures on wage differences,summarize experience,and conduct empirical analysis on the wage differences in household registration in China's urban labor market.In the empirical part:in this paper,the use of three-year CGSS data,by descriptive statistics analysis and OLS regression analysis and decomposition in Oaxaca-Blinder wage differentials in econometric analysis,the conclusions are as follows:(1)in the labor market in cities and towns in China,the urban and rural household wages exist significant difference,over time,the household registration status indicator variables impact on wage strength gradually decreased;(2)among all the explanatory variables' contributions to the wage difference between urban and rural areas,education has the strongest explanation for the wage difference;(3)employment segregation exists in the urban labor market.Migrant workers are generally engaged in low-income occupations and sectors,which accelerate the wage gap between urban and rural areas;(4)under the dual household registration system of urban and rural areas in China,the household registration discrimination of wage income in the urban labor market has been alleviated,but the discrimination still exists.Finally,based on the theoretical and empirical results,this paper puts forward policy suggestions to promote the reform of the household registration system,comprehensively improve the human capital level of migrant workers,create a fair employment environment,and so on to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas and eliminate household registration discrimination.
